- FREE pick up and drop off for driving lessons within 10 miles of our office on Cherry Road in Rock Hill, SC

- detailed study notes so families are able to get involved with supporting the student during practice sessions

- the SC DMV approved road test using our vehicle and at our location

- an insurance discount certificate valid until the student turns 25 (or for three years, whichever is later)

Register online for an SC DMV approved road skills test

Once we receive your registration, we will validate your eligibility for a road test through the SC DMV systems, then contact you within 1 business day to schedule your road test

We administer road tests daily at our Rock Hill, SC office location on Cherry Rd.

Before scheduling, please ensure that you are comfortable with the following:

- parallel parking

- three point turns

- stop/start on grade / overnight parking

- straight line backing / 100 ft backup

- lane changes

- left and right turns

- navigating intersections with traffic lights and stop signs

- road sign recognition

- speed control

- and some other general driving skills

We don't require you to complete training with us before we administer a road test, but we do want you to be prepared and know what's expected of you before you arrive. If you are unsure about any of these maneuvers, please consider scheduling, at minimum, a refresher lesson before the road test to give us a chance to prepare you to be successful.

803 Drivers Ed does not guarantee that you will pass the road test or secure a drivers license.

The SC DMV reserves the right to randomly recall any applicant testing with a Third Party Tester and if they do, the applicant will have to re-take the road test at a DMV branch office.

It is against SC DMV regulations to administer the road test in any language other than English. They have made many efforts to standardize the road test across all branch offices and Third Party Testers, and in doing so, have established regulations that prohibit driving schools from deviating from the written test instructions, which must be read aloud to the applicant each time.

Permit Class & Knowledge Test — $50

Struggling to pass the knowledge test at the DMV? Our permit class was made for you! We offer a 2 hour permit preparation class for anyone who may be having a hard time successfully passing the knowledge test at the DMV. After a thorough training and review session, we administer the permit test on paper in a supportive, friendly environment.

The permit class is FREE for students attending the Teen Driver Education program through 803 Drivers Ed.

803 Drivers Ed hosts permit classes every other Saturday afternoon throughout the year, after our in person Teen Driver Education classes. The permit class typically lasts around 2 hours, but may be more or less depending on how many students we have in attendance, how much studying our students have done, if anyone needs additional support or explanation, etc. Once the student successfully passes the knowledge test, we will provide them with their results in a sealed envelope, which will need to be taken to a SC DMV branch office within 30 days to receive a beginner's permit.

This service is only available to United States Citizens who are at least 15 years old and have never before held a South Carolina beginners permit. We are unable to administer the knowledge test to International students, per SC DMV regulations.

Please bring a valid form of identification to your permit class - accepted are birth certificate, South Carolina state ID, United States passport, or school ID (if in high school)
