DMV Road Test 3rd Party – Rock Hill
1703 Cherry rd, Rock Hill, sc 29732
You will test in the driving school car.
You must wear closed shoes
We do not test in your vehicle with interlock.
If your permit or license is expired we can not allow you to drive in our car.
You are not a licensed driver so the insurance will not insure the vehicle.
Yes the DMV will tell you don’t need a permit to test. That is true if you are testing at the DMV. However you are not legal TO DRIVE YOUR CAR TO THE DMV, only to test at the DMV.
To train or test with a driving school you must have a valid (not expired) South Carolina permit (not any other state or international or another country).
GO TO ANY SCDMV OFFICE, GET A PERMIT OR GET YOUR PERMIT RENEWED – THEN WE CAN DRIVE WITH YOU OR TEST YOU
THE DMV ROAD TEST
The road test examiner is trained , tested and certified by the DMV.
The road test route is the DMV testing route.
The instructions are the DMV testing instructions.
The scoring system is the DMV scoring system.
The examiner has no control over you passing or failing the road test.
The examiner simply records the way you do each portion of the test on the DMV test sheet.
The examiner is not allowed to have a conversation with you.
The examiner is not allowed to advise you on what to do or how to do it.
The examiner is not allowed to discuss what you did wrong or how to do it correctly.
The examiner is only allowed to give you the DMV instructions.
You passing or failing the DMV road test is a reflection of how well you adhere to way the DMV expects you to drive. This has nothing to do with you being able to drive.
You have to be able to drive the way the DMV expects you to drive.
Your opinion and the examiners opinion have nothing to do with anything.
If you do not pass the road test it is recommended that you take a driving lesson with a DMV trained driving instructor who will teach you how to drive the way the DMV tests you.
When you fail the DMV road test, the DMV will not allow you to retest for a period of two weeks. The third time you fail there is a two month DMV waiting period.
At the end of the test the examiner will advise you if you have passed or failed.
From there if you have passed – congratulations, go get your license from the dmv within 30 days.
If you have failed it is recommended that you get training before retaking the test.
There are no refunds.
Training lessons are 3hrs @ $220 followed by a test @ $60
You will have the advantage of getting used to the vehicle, being professionally trained on how to pass the DMV road test, then tested by the instructor that just trained you.
You should test immediately at the end of the training lesson. If you delay taking the test after the training lesson you will begin to revert to old bad driving habits and the chance of passing the test increase with the passing of time.
Skills testing (the road test) is administered in the Rock Hill area to any student who has never before held a drivers license. Applicants do not have to complete training with our school in order to take the road test with us. We can test anyone who has never been licensed before, regardless of whether or not they complete training with us
SC DMV Approved Driving/Road Test
Since 2012, 803 Drivers Ed has been licensed and approved as a Third Party Tester school. The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles has determined that we are able to administer the road test to students. For this service, students will be taken on an SC DMV-approved route and allowed to complete the road test. If the student passes, he/she will receive a certificate which will be taken to a DMV field office, where the student will complete an eye exam, take a license picture, and the student’s license will be printed.
The cost for the road test service will be $60.00 for our students – $75 walk in, payable the date the road test is administered. It is not required for students to complete the road test through our school, as the SC DMV will still be administering the road test daily during the week. For students who have difficulty getting to the DMV during normal business hours, we offer test administration on weekends. All tests administered through our school are done in our vehicles, with our instructors.
If you want to take the road test through our school and use our vehicle (the UNFAIR ADVANTAGE), contact your instructor.
The UNFAIR ADVANTAGE
The Unfair Advantage is just what it says. The vehicles that we use for training and testing have been selected on purpose to give the student the easiest way to maneuver a test car into and out of the parallel parking spot. The high position of the driver, large rear window, no rear trunk and very short wheelbase make our vehicles the easiest to take the road test in, the easiest way to pass your road test.
No other driving school has a vehicle that performs better on the road test. We know, we have tried them all.
Just take a look at these pictures of our testing and training vehicle in the SC DMV’s parallel park and you will see why this is the best choice when it comes to taking your test.
Here we are at the SC DMV’s office, ready to take the road test.
Here we are in the middle of the SC DMV’s parallel park – just look at how much space there is in front of and behind our training and testing vehicle.
We can move all the way up to the back barricade of the parking area, leaving plenty of space in front of us to pull forward to the middle without receiving any penalties during the test.
Just look over your shoulder through the back window, you can back our training and testing vehicle all the way op to the barricade, with the high seat position of the driver, the rear seats folded flat and the huge back window its very easy to back in without hitting the barricade. There is no trunk on this vehicle. Other driving school vehicles have trunks and you cannot see where the back end of the vehicle is. Remember if you touch the barricade you fail the test. This is the unfair advantage of choosing
Greenville Driving School, no other driving school makes it easier for you to pass the test.
Just look at all that space – this is the easiest way to pass your test.
